Legacy Farm is a designation bestowed to Kentucky farms by the Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation. It is an honor recognizing the farm’s long-standing commitment and significant contribution to the local community.
Nominated farms will have been in operation for a significant number of years. Owners will have demonstrated active engagement in the local community and Farm Bureau.
The Legacy Farm selection process is at the discretion of the county Farm Bureau. A county Farm Bureau may submit up to three farms to be honored each year. If you represent a farm interested in being nominated, please contact your local county Farm Bureau office.
Each Legacy Farm will be given one farm sign and one framed certificate courtesy of Kentucky Farm Bureau. County Farm Bureaus will determine when and how to present these to the farm owner(s).
A press release template about the Legacy Farm recognition will be made available to the county Farm Bureau to send to local media. Additionally, Legacy Farm honorees will be recognized during the 2026 KFB Annual Meeting.
There is a $275 fee per farm nominated. Nominations are due Friday, April 3, 2026.
