2025 Paul D. Everman Fund for Lifetime Learning Scholarship
A scholarship of up to $3,000 is awarded annually to a non-traditional student who is interested in pursuing a four-year course of study at any Kentucky college or university.
About Paul D. Everman
The late Paul D. Everman, a native of Bath County, retired from his position as executive vice president of the Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation in 1994. Mr. Everman had served on the Farm Bureau information, legal affairs and executive staff for a total of 36 years. Mr. Everman passed away in 2002.
While working full-time with the Farm Bureau organization, Mr. Everman earned a law degree from the University of Louisville School of Law. This degree was in addition to the Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture he earned at the University of Kentucky.
Mr. Everman’s lifelong interest in education can be summarized by the following statement: “The importance of a good education in terms of achieving professional success can never be overemphasized. Those who recognize that value of learning deserves our support as they strive to better themselves.”
Eligibility and Guidelines
- Applicant must be a Kentucky high school graduate (GED is acceptable).
- Applicant must be a member of Kentucky Farm Bureau and remain such while the scholarship is in force. (Note: Applicant must be a member at least two years prior to applying for the scholarship.)
- The following are not eligible to apply for this grant: Kentucky Farm Bureau Agency Managers, Agents, County Secretaries and CSRs, District and State Farm Bureau Employees, members of the Kentucky Farm Bureau Board of Directors, State Young Farmer, and Women’s Advisory Committees. Immediate family members of these individuals are also not eligible.
- After a recipient accepts the award, dropping out of school, except for serious illness or injury, may cause the recipient to lose the award. The recipient must also maintain at least a “C” average to keep the scholarship. The Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation must receive annual reports of recipient’s current course work and academic standing before additional monies are sent to their college or university.
- The scholarship can be applied to tuition only. Correspondence courses are not included. Payments of $250 per semester will be sent directly to the college for up to twelve semesters (not to exceed three per year), or until the student receives a bachelor’s degree (whichever occurs first). The maximum amount that can be awarded is $3,000.

Applications must be received by February 28, 2025. Please review the application carefully to ensure all requested information has been provided.
The recipient will be notified in April. The first payment will be applied to the school year beginning in August 2025.
